amazing teachers with a real commitment to joyous, dazzling
burlesque, and a love of performance that goes beyond the simple
need for attention. Everyone of them is an entertainer with years of
experience on the burlesque stage. Their backgrounds vary from NYC
downtown performance art hero World Famous *BOB* to Seattle's
Headmistress of Burlesque Indigo Blue to Whitney Biennial artist
Julie Atlas Muz. Miss Exotic World 2004 Dirty Martini offers a class,
as has Miss Exotic World 2005 Michelle L'Amour. The legendary
Angie Pontani, a burlesque performer with well over a decade of performance, teaches her incredible go-go moves. Certified Pilates
instructor and degreed choreographer Peekaboo Pointe offers a
weekly class in Pilates and tassel-twirling. Burlesque star of the
1950s Candy Caramelo has taught a class in authentic burlesque;
NYU professor Dr. Lukki (recently featured in BUST magazine) 
offers a series in theatrical development. Boylesque sensation
Tigger has been known to step in to offer his expertise in
specialty classes. These teachers will fully engage and inspire you!

Headmistress of the school Jo Weldon (aka Jo Boobs),
has been named "Best Teacher" in the Village Voice's "Best of Arts
and Entertainment," and "Best Burlesque Teacher" and
"Best Bump N Grinder" at the New York Burlesque Festival. 
She believes in burlesque as a means to introduce women
who are shy about their bodies to enjoy the power of playful and/or confrontational exhibitionism, as well as creativity and
self-expression through self-initiated theatrical performance.
She also believes that play is not a luxury, and that burlesque
is one of the most satisfying contexts for developing the fine art of
having a good time, all the time. And one more thing: she believes
that hard work, which is fun in itself when hard work means
dance classes, theater exercises, creating sparkly costumes, makeup
lessons, and making outrageous jokes, is the key to the best possible
time, to a world of laughter, glamour, confidence and passion for life.
The pursuit of happiness is a sensual as well as a spiritual quest.

Dirty Martini
Miss Exotic World 2004, Miss Dirty Martini was named the 'Sexpot
Sophisticate' by New York Magazine. She has been described as
"one of the best in burlesque" by the New York Times,
"the queen of them all" by the London Telegraph,
and "the decadent expression of female sensuality
in action" by the NY Daily News. Since the mid 1990s she has had
audiences on their feet applauding in venues as diverse as Carnegie Hall,
the Museum of Sex, and Broadway Bares to infamous New York
clubs and drag bars.

Julie Atlas Muz
Miss Exotic World and Miss Coney Island 2006, Julie Atlas Muz,
is known for sucker punching the boundaries between performance
art, dance and burlesque with dark, twisted, come-hither performances
that have secured her place in the underworld of nightlife as well as the
bastion of the art world. On any given night in New York City, you can see
Julie Atlas Muz peeling off the outlandish costumes, covered in fake blood
in the basement of a gay bar or co-hosting America’s Favorite Burlesque Gameshow This or That! on public access. A 2004 Whitney Biennial Artist
and a 2005 Valencia Bienal Artist, Julie has swam as a mermaid in
Europe’s largest saltwater aquarium with 450 tropical saltwater fish,
2 sharks and 1 eel. Julie continues to celebrate the ever political lineage
of naked ladies in public spaces as set in motion by Lady Godiva.

The Original Mr. Exotic World! - Best Boylesque 2006 at The
Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas. 3 Golden Pastie Awards for
"Performer Most Likely to Get Shut Down by the Law,"
"Most Unpredictable Performer," and "Most Likely to Be the Next
Queen of England." Called "the King of Boylesque." The New York
Times called Tigger a "hysterical and acrobatic man in drag,"
Next Magazine called him "the taboo-defying dynamo," and
San Francisco tried to ban his striptease.
