Little Brooklyn and Creamy Stevens

One of the longest-running burlesque shows in New York—
Starshine Burlesque—is packing up the pasties, G-strings and
fringe as they bid RiFiFi, their home-away-from-home for the past six years,
a fond farewell in a star-studded event on February 28th. But that is not
where this story ends... On March 6th they unload the glitter, rhinestones
and rubber chickens (this is burlesque, after all) at their new venue—
The Fortune Cookie Cabaret.

Sending out the beacon that live entertainment is alive and well in
New York City, Starshine Burlesque will continue to roll out its "patented
blend of boobs and amazement." Starshine Burlesque takes it off every
single Thursday night and features some of the best in burlesque
entertainment New York has to offer, as well as national and world famous
guest stars.

The show is co-produced by New York Burlesque Festival Golden
Pastie Award winners "The Best Booty Shaker in Burlesque"—
Creamy Stevens and "The Most Inspiring Performer in Burlesque"—
Little Brooklyn. The rest of the fabulous cast rotates weekly, and includes
luminary burlesque performers such as Miss Dirty Martini, Amber Ray,
Delirium Tremens, and Julie Atlas Muz, as well as variety acts like Ravi
The Scorpion Mystic and Albert Cadabra. Regular hosts include uber-woman
Rose Wood, sideshow performer and magician Adam The First Real Man,
sultry chanteuse Shelly Watson and Mr. Exotic World 2006–Tigger!

Audiences come for not only for the wonderful show, but also to see
the familiar faces of the Starshine Burlesque Family: the sweet and smiling
stage kitten Misty Rivers; the badass charm of door mistress Pop Pistol;
stage manager and bally caller Noah D'Klein "the voice that launched a
thousand hips;" and and DJ Fresh Prince of Darkness, spinning the
freaky far-out tunes that keep the go-gos going.

The show's new home boasts a sexy ambiance with pinup art
on the walls, moody red lanterns and exotic drinks. However,
the atmosphere will remain reliably Starshine-style friendly, with admission
and cocktails reasonably priced. Starshine Burlesque's new home shares a
proprietor with the venerable East Village classic Lucky Cheng's.  On stage, Starshine Burlesque turns up the heat with a variety show of eye-popping striptease, magic, and vaudevillian antics. A different show every week!
