A Brief Note About The Authors…
Born in 1884 in the picturesque countryside of Switzerland, Marcel and Helmut Himmel began writing fanciful stories at an early age. They enjoyed minor celebrity during the late teens, early 20’s, until both brothers died mountaineering in the Alps.
Most of the work, published in periodicals, had thought to been lost until recent copies suddenly surfaced in the boys’ childhood home. These rough drafts, written in an amalgamation of French and German, were discovered lining the drawer of an amoire in the attic.
Due to her love of such classic children’s stories like Raggedy Ann and Uncle Wiggly And Jackie And Petey Bow Wow, Augusta has tried to faithfully recreate the stories in film form.
